Table Tennis Teacher: Chinese Coach Spends Vacation with University Club
Dongxiang Zhen, 56, comes to Gainesville, Fla., for six months to visit his son, an industrial engineering student. At home in China, Zhen is a table tennis coach. So while at the University of Florida, he plays with the table tennis club three nights a week at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center. Despite the language barrier and age difference, the players are able to have fun and learn from each other.

Nice job with the visual variety. Lots of great angles and views. I was a little confused about whose voice I was hearing. On a video like this, showing a 5 or 10 seconds of who is talking would help. When you add narrative to your b-roll, make sure to mix down your b-roll audio levels so that it doesn’t overpower the narrative voice. One thing I haven’t seen in many of this classs videos is a great opener. Start strong with a great piece of nat sound or a visually strong video clip.
