Is there a reputable company that will help a consumer sell an unwanted timeshare?

Has anyone successfully sold an unwanted timeshare property? If so, through what company? I am aware that there are a lot of companies that scam people out of money under the guise of trying to sell a timeshare, but is there a reputable company that can buy a timeshare from a timeshare owner? One that doesn’t require a payment up front to "place an ad" or "for closing costs?"

My advice to you is to contact the resort you purchased the timeshare through and ask them to buy it back from you or name a reputable company that will buy it back if they will not. Hope that helps!

Any tips to reject Hilton Vacation Club sign up?

Join the Trial Timeshare plan last year which have given me 1 year to use up the points. When I’m planning to use the points to book a vacation, the reps said that I will need to book me in for another 2 hours presentation (again!).
I’m sure they will try to sell me to join the life timeshare plan.

Does anyone have tips how to get out of it?

Interesting, they are building beautiful resorts left and right and having trouble selling. I never knew they had a trial membership for a year with an option to go lifetime. Sitting through one when you don’t want it can be gruelling. My advice would be to do it early in the day at 9a.m and set your watch or cel phone alarm for 11. When it goes off say thank you and tell them you have honored your agreement. Buy resale if you can find one which is paid off and definitely go Hilton. You can easily get a nice timeshare for a fraction of the cost. Do not buy in Hawaii. The maintenance fees are higher than domestic locations. You need to take all that into consideration going forward should you choose to buy.

Anyone else annoyed when people selling timeshares take advantage of you and try to make you thankful for it?

They made an ERROR in our coding and changed the way it is willed to our children. We had to BUY more points to get it corrected.

So they made an "error" on your contract and they told you that the only way to fix it is if you bought more points.
Wooow timeshare sales people get more and more creative when it comes to a sales pitch.
So because you know it was just a sales pitch right?

Parents have a timeshare in Daytona for the Daytona 500week and asked me to sell it. When & Where to sell It?

Where can you sell timeshare rentals? like not the whole timeshare for life , but just for the week?

It’s during the Daytona 500, so we thought someone may be interested in it. I thought about putting it on Ebay, but I don’t know if its the best place to go. Does anyone have an idea of where (and when) to sell something like that?

Tell who ever manages the building that you want to sell they should be able to help.
